Beth has no idea what she wants to do when she grows up. She didn't at six and she still doesn't at eighteen. She wonders what [[direction]] to go in.Now that she has graduated high school, she needs to think about her major in collage. What should she study: [[math,]] [[science,]] [[history,]] [[english,]] or [[art?]]Beth has always loved math! It is in her comfort zone, and finding the right answer always makes her feel sooo smart. So what can she do as a [[math major?]]Ohhh, Beth has always been interested in science. Less so with the actual in-depth details and facts, but she really likes learning about nature! She wonders what she can do with a [[science degree]] that won't put her way in over her head.Eh... Beth does not like history at all. The only think old she likes learning about is mythology. She's leaning towards no here. [[direction]]Who doesn't love to read and write? Beth thinks this could be a strong contender, but what would she do with an [[english degree?]]Since the only things Beth can draw are stick figures, she's going to not go down this path. [[direction]]She could be a [[teacher]] or an [[accountant]]?A [[doctor?]] A [[microbiologist?]]A [[writer for a newspaper or magazine?]] An [[author?]] An [[editor?]] A [[publisher?]] [[...]]And be around germs? Um... (suddenly Beth feels a cold coming on) [[direction]]This sounds very interesting and complicated. Beth crosses this off the list, but after a couple seconds [[rewrites]] it at the bottom. After watching a long doctumenary on soil health, Beth crosses it off her list again... this time for good. [[direction]]Beth spends some time with a family friend who is a an accountant and realizes she doesn't want to add and subtract somebody else's shopping expenses all day everyday while she sits in an office. She takes a sharpie to cross it off the list. [[direction]]Beth could get behind this... but first, she'll have to go back and rewatch for Carrie Bradshaw's style. She grabs a bright purple highlighter and draws flowers around this. [[english degree?]]Beth loves to read and to think she could write the types of books she likes is exciting. She starts daydreaming of her life as an author... until she gets to the part in which she already knows what happens in her story. Still, she uses her purple highlighter for this one. [[english degree?]]Could Beth really spend her days getting paid to read books?! Wow, she thinks, and creates lavender swirls around this idea. [[english degree?]]The idea of Beth being able to help aspiring authors reach their dreams is tempting... in a bold streak of purple, she highlights this. [[english degree?]]Suddenly, Beth has an [[idea]]... she won't choose! She'll do them all!All of these options are closely related in the book world. How will she [[choose between them?]]No thanks. [[math major?]]Eh... [[maybe.]]Finally, Beth feels like she can relax. She now has an idea about what she wants to do... or so she thinks. Only time will tell.
